I don't get the Twitch thing at all, especially people giving money out to the players.

I get it. They don't make money if they aren't a partner so donate a bit to help them improve the software and tools they use to stream. As far as players are concerned, pro players don't make that much strictly off their salary. Before league got huge, TSM HAD to stream to pay the rent. That's straight out of Reginald's mouth.

If someone doesn't have cable but watches a streamer 10 hours a week and they enjoy it, I suppose that's somewhat justifiable.
League streamers will also have "sub games" (subscriber) where they invite you to play with them and now you are on stream ! So the entire twitch chat can call you bad or a god. Etc.
if you are good you will make new friends to play with, get your name out there, etc
Just a different type of rush/excitement

I watch Lirik sometimes, he plays a lot of Arma, DayZ, H1Z1, and random other games. He's pretty funny and has around 50-60k people watching his stream at a time. He's gotta be makin bank. As far as female streamers i think the only one I ever check out is 2mcovergsquared. She's an actual gamer and doesn't flaunt the cleavage for views.

Lirik is great, he lets his people act the fool, and the comments with donations are great.
a lot of commentators and their mods are sensitive bitches, who cry and whine if made fun of or taken to task.
Liriks buddy, short, is a perfect example of some one who will eventually fail as a full time broad caster. He takes everything personally and is a sensitive bitch. He whined and cried that he got made fun of, when they had dayz survivor, and he hid in a bush for 10+ minutes to survive.
If your going to stream, you have to be able to take the heat from the jackhole viewers.
Also, Castro on Fifa15 is a funny stream, he interacts and gives shite away, and entertains.
