I'm going to be in NYC for a few days next week. Point me to the best traditional NYC deli. I'm looking for a rueban, pastrami, maybe some tongue

I was hoping for something else. I mean, if it's great, then I'm all for it. Just assumed it was a tourist trap kind of place.

Kat'z truly is the best in town, IMO. They're so popular for a reason. If you want a place that's a little less crazy packed check out 2nd Ave Deli.

Yeh tourist traps have a tendency to be in business for 127 years with what many consider the best pastrami ever.
