Could be Wang until then.
Could be, hoping for Cody Martin though.

Does anyone think Terdoslavich makes the bench this year? He's been better in the field this spring than I remember him. I've also seen him at first I believe.
He's not a good platoon match with Gomes but he's the only other outfield candidate that's hitting. So I think he makes the bench and hopefully he platoons with Gomes.

Gomes has been horrid at the plate the few games I've seen. CJ as well. Bethancourt has looked good at the plate which was a nice surprise.

Not much to like about this team imo. I'm sure by OD I'll be more excited but I'm dreading watching this offense 162 times.
I dreaded to watch our offense for most of last year, I can't even imagine how bad it is going to be this year.

You're right on all accounts, but you can't really take a whole lot from that. He just needs to hit RHP.
Here's a link to our ST stats if anyone is interested:

Vegas puts the Braves at 73.5 wins.
I take the OVER.

I think somewhere in the 70-75 range is fair

Braves released James Russell. LINK
quote:
Russell had a 10.57 ERA in spring training, giving up 10 runs — nine earned — 10 hits and three homers in 7 2-3 innings. Luis Avilan, coming off a disappointing season, appears likely to claim one of the left-handed spots in the bullpen. Twenty-four-year-old Brady Fiegl also has impressed, though he hasn't pitched above Class A.

I agree, I like us around 75. It kinda sucks to admit but after the last 3-5 years I'm looking forward to this season more because there are no playoff expectations.

No chance. Jace Peterson and Collaspo are way ahead. KJ is a bench guy

5th SP should be Cody Martin. Might be stults, the loser will go to the pen.
Jamie, Stults/Martin, Fiegl, and Outman I'm assuming are all leading pen candidates. I think they send Folty down.
The last bench spot will probably have to go to someone that can play CF. I'd rather lose Gosselin and have Terdo and then have a guy who can play CF. Apparently Fredi likes Joe Benson a lot.
Who knows

I'm pretty excited about some Jace Peterson. Looks a great piece in that Upton deal so far.

I agree, I think he could do well for us. Whether he sticks or not will be his ability to hit gaps and stretch doubles. His speed and plate discipline is there and he makes contact but he's gotta show some more power at the plate.
Should be fun to watch.
