I am not a youngster and not a baby boomer.

I find Beatles worship annoying.

While I appreciate the role they played and how awesome they were 50 years ago, it bothers me that Paul McCartney is on some death tour where he shows up everywhere, sings horribly and everyone just falls all over themselves.

I won't even bring up Yoko. She can walk into an art gallery and shite on a paper plate and somehow that is art because Lennon had a thing for her 40 years ago.

That sort of thing is just tied to a general fame and celebrity worship that our culture or maybe just people in general have. I know. It can be silly.

how does this bother you? The old man put on a badass show. 3 hours nonstop, 39 songs with no break.

McCartney point is valid. He sounded terrible closing the Olympics with Hey Jude. He just doesn't have the pipes anymore.

Yeah. The Beatles are so overrated. They are definitely not music that I'd put on a playlist for a party!

You just show the extent of your utter ignorance. His performance in New Orleans last October was one of the most impressive performances I have seen. Period.

The man played 39 songs at the ripe young age of 72 and delivered each of them with the same exuberance and soul as someone less than half his age.

He is arguably the most influential figure in pop music and songwriting.

Who the frick is defending Yoko? Everyone I have ever met loathes that unattractive and untalented woman.

Well I can tell you have never been to his show. I've seen him twice in the last 4 years and he can still perform very well. Hell I saw Ringo who I thought would be terrible and he was still really good.
