Bandwagon CBB fans....my rant

Am I the only one that gets superbly annoyed by these people? I don't know one single Duke, UNC, Kansas or Louisville fan that cares about those schools in any other capacity than during basketball season...it's stupid as hell imo!! I can't begin to count the LSU fans that ONLY bleed P&G during football and baseball seasons.
Does anyone else have this problem with their fan bases? I know UK and UF probably do not, but the rest of the SEC doesn't have basketball programs as stable. I'm sure I'm coming off as having a stick up my arse, but you should cheer for the school in
everything.....not just when they're on top!!
And spare me with the whole " I've cheered for so and so in basketball since I was a kid" horseshite.....grow a pair and stop being a gutless front runner!!

I became a Duke basketball fan whenever Laettner made that shot vs Kentucky. I was 4 years old, and thought it was cool. So, I've been a fan of Duke hoops ever since. Deal with it.

Why OH WHY do people worry so much about what other's do? I'll cheer LSU in basketball, but I'm not going to care about them nearly as much as I do the football team.

WGAS. And FWIW I know several people who went to Duke and KU and they don't GAF about having bandwagon fans either, and it's their team

shite, when I was at school I thought it was cool when a few new fans would show up at basketball games.
cause I mean not many students gave a shite about sports at our school.
they still don't really. Most of them care more about Alabama and Auburn.

I'm sorry, but it's pathetic to only root for a certain school in certain sports.....front running tells me a lot about a person, it just proves you're a shitty fan... deal with it!!

The whole bandwagon fan thing leaves me perplexed. When your team is doing poorly and nobody is interested, it seems like the goal is to start winning and have more people get involved so that they come to the games and make it a better atmosphere. I think adding fans is a cool thing...it is just unfortunate when they go away again when the team starts losing again.

But I don't care what people think when I tell them I pull for everything SC and no one else (at collegiate level). I usually get those "Well what about Duke, NC, UK, etc for basketball?" I say frick'em. I can't do the bandwagon shite.

It sounds more like to me you LIKE Duke, but you're not really a fan. Have you ever even attended a Duke home game? Any Duke game at all?

I only like Tar Heel Basketball. Its because it was on TV all the time and I could actively cheer against evil Duke fans.

Agreed! All these lame arse "Carolina Blue forever!" fools are especially bad. The Duke basketball fan is bad as well but it's more hip to hate Duke so those are fewer.

I don't think that was what OP was saying. He was saying if you liked LSU baseball and football, then liked Kansas basketball. I think?
