I understand that last night was a big setback the team didn't need, but this thing isn't over yet. Everyone is reacting like it was the last game of the year and that it's all said and done.

I know there aren't any high profile match-ups left on the schedule as of now, but maybe last night will give a spark to the guys and they'll finish on a high note and maybe even make some noise in the SEC tournament.

The win over WVU got some much needed help when they defeated Kansas this week, and if LSU could win out and close the regular season with a W against Arkansas I think they're in. If not, there's always a possibility to make some noise in the SEC tournament.

And here come the negative posts......

It's not over but it ain't looking good. If their only remaining loss is Arkansas I think they sneak in.

They're just waiting to the VERY end to turn on the jets. Right?

Whew. I was worried for a little while there.

In the couple bracketologies I've seen that were updated after last night, they both had LSU still in the field. Sky is not falling yet, but we are making it far too interesting.

why is it an accomplishment just to get to the tournament?

I want to be a program that can win a championship...so in my opinion they are finished...we aren't good enough to win it, should be good enough to make it to the 64

It's frustrating that simply getting in the tourney would be a big accomplishment. That has to change soon.

they dropped (2) spots in RPI from 50 to 52, so technically, they're in ok shape after a loss to a top-50 rpi team on the road.

But, now...the margin for error has been all but thrown out the window.

y'all need to pump the breaks. Do you realize how long it's been since LSU was in the NCAA tourney?

Baby steps...

things are not setting up for them....

I think we can all agree that they would probably need to be at least 11-7 in conference for consideration. Winning at Arkansas is going to be very tough, so that means they have to win the other 4. With their consistency issues, do you honestly think they can roll off 4 in a row against UF, Ole Miss, Tenn and @ Auburn? I know the 3 home games are teams we've already beaten, but the up and down nature of this team makes me think one or two of them will bite us back.

Also, they are squarely playing into Kentucky's side of the bracket, so their advancement opportunity in the SEC-T would at best end with the semis vs. UK.

I think this team goes into the NIT as a 1 seed and hosts multiple NIT games.

on the road vs the #18 team is pretty high profile. Looking at Hogs schedule possiblity they are 24-6 and in top 10 going into that game.

As someone who is also a Baylor fan, they are a team that the fan base should be tired of just making the tournament. It's like three sweet sixteen appearances and an Elite 8 in the past six years.

LSU hasn't been to the tourny in a good while. I would be pretty happy just to see them make the field.

Do you think anyone thought Butler was good enough to make two National Finals games? How about VCU or George Mason? It's all about getting in. Once you're there anything can happen.

I hope not but man it sure feels like it with this Jekyll and hyde team.
