Name one QB in the miles era that that lsu has recruited, signed out of high school, and developed into a good QB.

This BooBooBengal can't think of one, but there is a laundry list of guys that have been busts.

Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson made NFL rosters. We're spoiled, quit bitching.

Well here are your available names:
Ryan Perrilloux
Jarrett Lee
Jordan Jefferson
(Mett was JUCO, and can't say for sure on Jennings or Harris obviously)
So looking at that, you have 3 guys that didn't pan out. This isn't some laundry list of guys, it's 3. And most people are well aware that LSU had Perrilloux going in the direction of being the best qb in the country, but he just couldn't stay out of trouble. In reality, you only have 2 guys (Jefferson and Lee) that LSU just seemed to not be able to develop. And I put half that blame on the players anyway. So calm down.

2005-07 - Miles did not recruit these QBs, therefore these 3 years are excluded from the 10 years of Miles's tenure.

2012-13 - Miles did not recruit Mett out of high school, therefore these 2 years are excluded from the 10 years of Miles's tenure.

2008-2009; 2014 - The QBs playing in these years were second-year players but starting for the first time, and did not have adequate time to develop.

2011 - Both LSU QBs were at the top of the SEC in passing efficiency.

So in the remaining 1 year, Miles failed to develop a QB he recruited from high school into a competent SEC QB.

So, if LSU recurits 4 star QBs (Lee, Jefferson, Jennings), it's TOTALLY the coaching staff's responsibility of how they develop and play on the field ?????? The players themselves don't have to lift a finger ???????????
Seems to me Matt Flynn did pretty well in his senior year - just a national championship, that's all. Ditto Mettenberger.
Ohhhh, sorry, Flynn and Mettenberger weren't RECRUITED OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL BY THE CURRENT COACHING STAFF. I guess, like, they don't count.

And if LSU recruits a 5 star QB (Harris), it's up to the coaches only on how he plays. It's not up to the player at all I guess....

Jefferson and Lee got thrown in too early when Perilloux got hosed. Andrew Hatch couldn't bridge us through one year so that Jefferson and Lee could have a year under the belt.

What a tremendously original and insightful topic. Thank you, sir, for finally bringing this to our attention.

i don't have the energy or passion for such a response in this thread, but the above words were probably plucked from the Lewis Black part of my brain.

Perrilloux could've been special, but there was a lack of discipline.

Hate to rule out the only successful QBS out the bunch in JR, Flynn, and Mett but they don't fit the criteria. Miles and staff disn't sign those kids out of hs, but they have signed like 10 kids who all busted

I hate to say "this one play screwed LSU" or "this one guy screwed LSU", but Ryan Perrilloux being kicked off the team really did ruin things for LSU qbs. Him getting booted started the chain reaction of Jarrett Lee getting put in too early and imploding, then the same with Jefferson. Not to put it on him as a person, but his departure is pretty much the stem of all this.

And the fact that we probably get Colt McCoy if Perilloux sticks with TX

Most of those kids are still playing college football at other colleges. Ignorant to label them as busts when they haven't even exhausted their eligibility.
