Try to ping Google. Nope.
Let's see what the gateway is. No IP or Gateway.
What do the lights look like on your modem ?

"There aren't any lights"

Well your modem may be dead, but silly question... Is your modem plugged in to the wall ?


"Yeah it is, but my electricity has been out for 2 days"

I had the same thing happen to me when I did IT for the State of Georgia!

The user was really upset she could not logon but she could not see the modem because the room was too dark since the power was off.........
