But what are the expectations of this guy? Is he going to hit for average?

My non professional guess:

.255, 29 HR, 85 RBI, 65 R

Being a DH every day should bring the best out of Gattis, not to mention greatly increasing his likelihood to be healthy.

Good move. He's not a key piece.

Plus he plays on the left side of the infield.

We got that covered in the minor leagues.

I looked for and couldn't find Vincent Velasquez on any of the milb rosters. He's still hurt?

He is still hurt but has begun throwing. Shouldn't be much longer.

Who would win between Fresno and Corpus in a 7-game series?

I say Hooks in 6.

Any indication on his destination once he comes back? I hope he gets put in CC but that rotation is already stacked.

Astros pitcher Vincent Velasquez threw 30 fastballs in his first bullpen session of the spring on Wednesday, according to the Houston Chronicle. Velasquez has been behind schedule due to a lat strain he suffered last October at the Arizona Fall League. He hopes to leave extended spring training by the end of April.

I'm pulling for him. He's got a nasty arsenal, but his body seems to give out on him in one shape or form every year.

Astros Rotation:

Keuchel
Feldman
Wojciechowski
Jabroni
Hernandez (Carmona)

Astros Bullpen:

CP Gregerson
SU Neshek
SU Qualls
RP Sipp
RP Harris
RP Thatcher
RP Deduno

DL:

Fields
Peacock
Oberholtzer

That pitching staff has some potential.

ETA: Astros vs Hooks tonight...would love to see that live.
