Correa with another solid day at the plate... 3-4, now batting .341 on the spring.

Does he get considered for the big club? (I think not).

Has he played himself into a starting role at Fresno? I think so.

Just because I don't want that damn Astros Drama thread to be on the first page and the DAT not be on the first page... I'm making sure everyone sees the latest food to be offered at Minute Maid.

That's a waffle cone with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and honey mustard. I must be getting old, because there's no way I would eat that crap.

I have my tickets for Games 2 & 3. Looks like one of my sons can't make it, so I'll be looking to trade my 3 tickets for 2 somewhat better ones, or offer the 3rd one to someone in need.

God damn, high school me would have eaten like 10 of those and lost weight

Me too. But that was 35 years ago.

I still think it wouldn't hurt to leave him down a while. Lowrie will be fine and I don't think Correa's numbers will be better than Lowrie the first year or so.

TCB posters, I think, are blowing him way out of proportion and wanting him up way too soon. They come off to me like they think he's already an all star. it won't hurt to leave him down a bit. They're not hurting at the moment at the MLB level.

Astros prospect Carlos Correa, oozing confidence, says "I feel like I can taste it. I feel really close. I feel like I had a great camp."

"It’s baseball. It gets better every single level you go up. I got to go out there in Double-A and perform," Correa said.

"I was playing here in big league camp & I faced pitchers like Zimmerman & Latos & all those guys. I did pretty well out here," Correa said

"Of course you want to play in the big leagues, but I’ll go down to Triple-A & work hard and hopefully get back here," Matt Dominguez said.

The only way Dominguez makes it back is an injury

I see Buchanan got cut also. So that means there's a spot in the bullpen left and that 5th spot in the rotation left. Looks like Wojo may make it.

I think Hernandez gets the fifth spot.

I don't get why Correa is gonna start in AA.

Put that bastard in AAA and let him swing

Yep those are your last two spots.

What's gonna really suck is if Wojo does good and they send him down anyway once Peacock is back.

ETA: isn't chapman still in the mix for that last bullpen spot as well?

Well he's never been to AA and he would arguably go up against better pitching at AA so it makes sense.

What do you guys think the bullpen looks like this year? I think we will score some runs this year. Will the bullpen get us a few more holds this year? I'm thinking the bully will be the difference between .500 and 90 wins.

Thatcher and Hernandez made the team. Corresponding moves required. I'm thinking Presley and Hoes DFA. I can see Presley getting traded after the DFA. Decent 4/5 outfielder. I don't see us carrying 5 if Gattis is going to get time out there.

It SHOULD be a strength. Thatcher is flying under the radar but that was a great pick up. I'm the biggest homer there is but I like the way the team is shaping up. We should have an elite OF defensively, that's another thing that kind of goes untalked about in the media. At this point, I'm assuming Singleton gets sent down. Makes things a little more clear but for the long term prospects of the team, it's disconcerting. Is he still figuring it out? Or on his way to Brett Wallace 2.0?

Come on, he's 23. He'll be fine.
