Thinking about buying one in 308 caliber for deer season next year. It looks like a sweet gun that's for sure. Anybody own one and have a review?

Beautiful gun with hardly any recoil at all. I want one so my girlfriend can quit getting popped in the face with the scope on my 7 mag.

I have a Bar II Safari. I don't care for the BOSS on the barrel, but other than that, I love the rifle.

They are amazing. My brother has one in .30-06 and it has the recoil of a pellet gun. Good, heavy gun. Beautifully made, too.

My thought is that if I was going to get a semi, that made the recoil like a 10/22... then i would go with a much larger caliber, and save the .308 for the bolt actions

True. And be careful if you ever take one apart. A friend of mine took apart his wife's BAR to give it a thorough cleaning. He had ALL kinds of problems getting it back together properly for it to function. Fortunately, his father-in-law ended up helping him as he was about to get in trouble w/ his wife.
