I'm not really sure. Somewhat in the mood to cook, but I also have a good bit of food here at the house that I could eat.

Might eat my leftovers from Mizado. Duck confit tamale.

Taking the weekend's leftovers and some boneless beef spareribs and using some thanksgiving turkey stock to make a vegatable soup/stew.

Also some cathead biscuits to accompany.

oven roasted cauliflower, if I can find the recipes here... I´ve seen one online, looks too easy and too quick (15 minutes @ 500º)

Like greens? Or actual turnips? I Googled smothered turnips, and it just pulled up turnip greens.

If actual turnips, how do you make it? I'm interested.

Like the Domenica recipe? It has been posted before.

I actually think there are two recipes floating around for some reason. This is a recipe released by Domenica, though I can't say for sure if it is exactly how they make it.

quote:

Preparation
Roasted Cauliflower
Preheat oven to 475°. Bring wine, oil, kosher salt, juice, butter, red pepper flakes, sugar, bay leaf, and 8 cups water to a boil in a large pot. Add cauliflower, reduce heat, and simmer, turning occasionally, until a knife easily inserts into center, 15-20 minutes.
Using 2 slotted spoons or a mesh spider, transfer cauliflower to a rimmed baking sheet, draining well. Roast, rotating sheet halfway through, until brown all over, 30-40 minutes.

thx

As for turnips, I slice them im medallions or coins, coat a pan with EVOO, put them on it, drizzle them with EVOO, hit ém with pimentón and cinnamon.

380º or so, for probably half an hour (I do it by visual readiness, not by a clock).

We serve them with bleu cheese laced Greek style yogurt.
