I did not know they fire their SP coach. Was that move a result of the onside kick, or did their SP just suck?

Your Biblical metaphor of a thread title gives absolutely no clue as to what the thread is about

Or maybe NFL teams typically cut guys under these circumstances:
quote:

Bostick was once viewed as a promising prospect but caught only two passes (one was a touchdown) last season. He was under contract with the Packers through 2015 and would have been paid the third-year minimum of $585,000 had he made the team.

Scapegoat more than sacrificial lamb, but I agree with your sentiment.

Scapegoat implies that he didn't frick up. He absolutely did.

I'm not saying he was solely to blame...but the guy fricked up his assignment in a pretty damn big spot.

Dude is super lucky the SB ended like it did. History will forget his blunder outside of greenbay. As it should since he took too much blame

Packers lost that game because they went WAY too conservative and didn't make Richard Sherman prove he could make multiple one armed tackles.

They fired the special teams coach because they had multiple problems including at least 7 blocked kicks.

Special teams eff ups were a theme all year. It wasn't just the NFC championship. Too bad it took a soul crushing mistake for them to finally get rid of slocum.

kinda funny because Chad Morton was one of the special teams assistants for the Seahawks this year.

Morton had been with the Packers the previous year as an assistant coaching special teams but he got fired.

i remember hearing some interview he gave on some radio show after the NFC Championship.

you know he had to be laughing after the NFC Title Game. Special teams were so huge in that one.

the name caught my attention because I knew he played for the Saints at some point. I think they drafted him.

Edit: i'm talking about Morton as a Saint not the Bostick guy.

McCarthy should get a lot more heat. He called a terrible pussified game and he cost them the game as much as the STs coach and dumb arse TE. Slocum and Bostick should have been fired as soon as the game ended.
