I completely understand if you're old (30's, 40's, etc). There aren't many options left out there and you'll take what you can get at that point. Suck it up and raise someone else's kids in order to have some constant company.

But for those who are young, and so eager to take care of someone's kids when there are other options out there, I just don't get it. It's not like the babydaddy died honorably serving our country in Iraq. 99% of the time the girl was a slut and had a kid or two from some meaningless relationship. The kid was a mistake and you're all captain save-a-ho coming to the rescue as super step-daddy.

How many of y'all take care of someone else's children all in the name of pussy?

If a woman has a child she should be shunned by the single man.

Neither. If they love each other then that's all that matters.

That being said, I don't know if I could date or marry a girl with kids already. At that point you're never her first priority and you're judged on how good of a father figure you can be to her kid.

When you reach your 30's, you're going to find out that it is not so old at all. Same for 40's.

When people are older, they understand better the difficulties of the situation a bit more than when people are younger. Love prevails when a man is younger and gets into the situation. It can workout fine, it can be a horrible situation.

If I was under 35, it would be out of the question. She's damaged goods and you'll have to deal with an ex-husband and it just seems pointless to get into something like that. If I was over 35, I'd maybe consider it.

Considering how self-absorbed a good majority of posters here are, I'd saying taking on the responsibility of a kid just to get a piece seems a stretch.
