Gold Strike is OK.

Beau Rivage is better though.

Im not too terribly worried about the gaming. Going to memphis for the weekend for the gin show, Figured Id drop in for a night and hit up a little blackjack since I was going right by it....

I work in that area quite a bit and typically stay at the veranda...nice hotel at a decent price...my thing is that I don't like to smell smoke in the hotel room and since the veranda is not attached to a casino, there is no smoke smell...

there is a shuttle bus that runs constantly to bring you to casinos, but if being able to walk from room to casino is your thing, it may not be the best choice for you...

Gold Strike is great for a cheap getaway. Pretty good golf courses are right up the road and we never pay for a room or meals at the casino. Customer service is great

Gold Strike is a pretty nice hotel and casino floor. I enjoy gaming at Horseshoe more for some reason...I think its because I seem to win more at Horseshoe.

I work at the Horseshoe. Veranda is no longer open since Harrahs shut down this summer. Tunica is turning into a ghost town, casinos are in bad shape.

How much money are you going to have to throw down to get comped stuff like that at a casino? I've seen my roommate lose up to $2,400 on more than one occasion and he never really got comped much. He might not have signed up for the rewards card though and him being a drunk and obnoxious idiot probably had an effect.
