I've never actually cared to go shed hunting before but I thought it'd be fun for me and the kids to do this year. When do yall starting picking up sheds?

I was hoping to find some this weekend, but watched 3 different bucks run a doe around behind the house this morning. Never seen rutting activity down here this late ever. Should be dropping them in the next week or two I would imagine.

give it a try, but I have never found it to be very productive at all...

fwiw, be sure to douse yourself and the little ones down with insect repellent or, by the end of the day, you will find an army of chiggers and ticks marching towards your scrotes...

I normally keep my eyes open for sheds when I'm scouting turkey.

We Found a 3 point's set in ankle deep water Saturday when we were rabbit hunting somewhere near wax lake. They were perfectly side by side.

Had a buck with one side missing on opening day of turkey season last year. It was gone a day later. I would think somewhere in mid to late March in N La. Don't know about S La.

This would be Nwla in Bienville parish. With all this rain I wouldn't be going this weekend anyway.
