Fluted pipe do you think I'll be ok? As far as it letting enough water out not to flood the pool?

For rain overflow it should be ok as long as there's a 1 inch drop per 4 feet on the pipe coming out.

That's just a little over 50 gallons so depending on the size of your pool I doubt it will. Does the pipe not have a disharge at the end or is the water able to disperse through gravel in your ditch.

How far below the inlet is your discharge?

It's about 18" fall from intake to discharge in a run about 120 ft

Well according to the 1" drop per 4 ft of pipe, you should be good. Especially with 4" pipe.

I would bed the trench with pea gravel and lay the pipe on that...

If 4 is sufficient 6 will be grand. Don't chance it, go big. When you do it right, it only hurts ONE time.

If you do this leave the end open for the water to get out. The water will go the opposite of how you want it.
Dig a bigass hole and fill with pea gravel at the end if you don't want a wet spot.

This and a 1" drop per 10' is more then enough.

Also since no ones said it make sure you first use a filter fabric around the outside of the pea gravel. You don't want that space in between the gravel filling up with sediment or roots. You need the fabric to ensure the separation.
