ABC Family makes movies unwatchable because they speed them up so fast. Home Alone and Happy Gilmore look like they are on fast forward when they play on ABC Family.

TBS is smarter than whatever network first showed it

The only time I've noticed it is when Kramer or George get into the physical comedy. It doesn't look as natural.

I record TBS Seinfeld episodes and watch them any time I'm bored and nothing is on TV. I have never noticed. Holy crap.

Trying to remember which sitcom I was watching on cable... they noticeably sped up the opening song.

Commercials, not the concept but the sheer amount of them, have ruined tv. I stopped watching commercial tv about two years ago. Just couldn't take it any more. The bastards are so greedy that they'll totally destroy the small amount of pleasure one might get from watching tv just to sell us their crap. Frick them. Dvd's are free at the library

TBS does this with other shows as well like MWC. (Married With Children)

Here's what's weird, I have DVR and live pausing.. and I will watch with a show with my gf who watches the same show via the TBS app. I know not all stream times are exactly the same, but what I do is align my playing time after I have paused and played a few times until the voices and show is absolutely in sync..

So it's in sync only for a little while till it eventually gets ahead of hers.. every time. Regardless of commercials played.. I think they just speed up the tv ones to include more tv commercials or something.. but I always told her it was as if my feed played faster than hers..

This sounds pretty beta.

Watching a TV show over the phone is definitely beta. I did it in college before though

Does your DVR allow you to slow down recordings by 7.5%?

I don't see the problem. You get the same content, they get to afford said content.

Shouldn't they be celebrated for being capitalists? They're delivering you your content without any substantial changes while making more money doing it.

I'd definitely prefer this to them cutting out scenes like other networks.

A lot of movies that are shown on cable do this. Sometimes its very noticeable and other times it isn't.
