For those of you that know more about this kind of thing. Why would he make a "lateral" move? Besides the obvious reason of money.

I believe he knows better talent is here. What WR besides AJ Green is in the league from Georgia?

Coaches that change jobs get more experience under different staffs making the well rounded in experience and more valuable on the market.

Because Les has lost control of the UGA coaching staff.

age 55. had new boss and maybe they didn't jive.

making more money at the end of one's career is very important retirement wise.

Look at those LSU has at WR now and look at who LSU signed this year.

He expects LSU to run the ball 80 times a game and his job will be a snap.

More than likely because Mike Bobo left and UGA brought in a new OC that will likely want to bring his own people in.

I hope you're not implying that a 55 year old man would move himself and his family because of some high school recruits that would be here 3 years max.

Let's just say I'm close to the situation and it's because of coaching philosophies at UGA. He loves UGA, but money and coach relationships drove the decision.

He's going to fit in nicely at LSU and he loves Les.

The guy is like headed to 56. At that age, I think money is #1 and probably by far. I don't there is much difference in talent at Ga. and I don't think it's likely we will be throwing the ball as much as Ga. has recently.

I hope, you are not implying that a position coach would not factor in the level of talent at that position when deciding on job opportunities.

I guess so! All he has to do is teach blocking and slant routes.

Oh, and how to adjust when qb panics on first read and takes off.

Chavis made a sub-lateral move for money so why wouldn't a 55 year old that'll probably retire in a few years do the same in a lateral move? If I had a job in Baton Rouge making $100,000, I'd very gladly make a move to Georgia if I was offered $150,000 if everything else stayed the same. Not sure why this is so hard for people to wrap their brains around, football coaches are just normal guys that like having some spare cash just like the rest of us
