I dont care about Baylor or his height. He has character. I dig it. Serious handles

sorry I forgot this.

this gives a look at both Brezat and Peters.

at 55 seconds in Lamar Peters video begins

Quickness/Speed combined with those handles will translate to the next level.... for noone will be quick enough to handle him.

Brezat is a stud too. But IMO his unorthodox shot is a hindrance cause it's low. I like him too. But with him I don't see the player I see in Peters.

Peters will be able to get by his man in a half-court set at will with those moves and quickness.

He'd be a fan favorite and a match- up nightmare due to having a style not seen in a Tigers uniform before

we didnt get duhon, augustin, or tweety carter...... it's time t o nab this one

You don't want Brezat.

Tweety doesn't belong in the same convo as Duhon or DJ. Not even the same type of player.

How would Peters defend against the big guards. At his height, he would have to bring more to the table than just great ball handling skills. Can he lock down on defense, what's his assist/turnover ratio, does he play the passing lane on defense, can he get his shot off over a bigger guard, those are just a few questions that needs to be answered before I would take a gamble on him. I agree. I'm living in BR these days so I'm not sure. I dont see him as the starter necessarily but more of a change-of-pace nightmare. Baylor generally hasn't been taking bums as of late, but those are valid questions my friend. With how good we have been recruiting as of late we may need 3-4 guys on the bench who are A+ students and guaranteed to graduate lol. At least he would be here for four imo

Hoopscoach-I totally understand the deal with having program players and LSU definitely need to have a few on the roster that can contribute a few minutes per game. The things I pointed out about Peters is what I look for in my guards. I coach AAU basketball, my son is Head Basketball Coach at an area high school here in the Baton Rouge area.

So there are certain things I would require out of my point guard because EVERYTHING starts at the point. Whether you are on offense or defense.

Nice post. Does the school start with a D lol? I've coached against him I believe.

I'm from NOLA, on a side note Nate Robinson's do sometimes make the league. A kid like that can apply ball pressure high in a pack-line scenario. The worst thing I ever had to watch was our time with two midgets playing guard the last few years

Hoopscoach-The school my son coaches at does NOT start with a D, lol. I can tell you this, his team has a power ranking of 5th in the state as of last week. He won Coach of the Year in his district last year, as they were predicted to finish 5th and he guided them to the district championship.

I think you can figure out what school he coaches from those few hints. LOL Also, he is undefeated in district play this year also.

Congrats Sir:) Having coach in the NOLA area for so long has me not quite understanding the landscape up here in BR. This is the first year in 16 im not coaching. I came up to coach at a RSD school that turned into a charter. heck, it was capitol high. cant believe I chose that over some st tammany and catholic schools in NOLA (which I've coached at both before). Anyways, I appreciate your insight
