This guy does some unique and beautiful stuff. It has the not over finished look, kind of old world feeling to it. Post some custom knives you like.

Harbuck Knives in Alabama has always come through for me.

He puts out some really cool stuff. Specializes in using sheep horn and boxelder.

My knife gave me this knife not many yrs ago for Christmas. It'll always be a VERY special knife to me. It was made by a local knife maker. Not only is it a good looking knife, it's also a good skinning knife.

They have a guy in Turkey Creek that has no arms and makes custom knives with his feet. Pretty cool

Man, I need to step up my game. I don't have any fancy knives. I'm jealous.

I don't know how much knife making he's doing these days. Not long ago he was really involved in participating in knife cutting competitions using big Bowie type knives. I'll find out if he's still making custom knives.

OUTDOORSMAN'S CAMP KNIFE SPECIAL WITH CUSTOM SHEATH

240.00
You shouldn't. Your mother wouldn't let you anyways. You've got no use for it, and you could cut yourself. It's a big knife, destined for big things, and mom always knew best, anyways.

But that holster does match your belt. And you can use it to stick a wild hog, skin it, prep it and julienne those capers to go alongside. Ooo, and when you're out of firewood? Yeah, it should do that too, no problem. Yes. You need this. Your mom was wrong, you won't hurt anything that doesn't need it. You're an adult now! Push that voice out of your head and get outdoors.

That's right. We said sheath. We know it's been bothering you, wondering, where did you get a custom, hand stitched sheath? Boondock Studios has gratefully partnered with us to bring the very best to you for our outdoor line of products.

Totin' chip approved! Especially if you're missing a few corners.

I ask this question not to be a dick, but because I really don't know.

What's the allure to Damascus steel with the 'grain' in the blade other than the appearance? I'm talking functionally speaking, not looks.

It is primarily for aesthetics. I own one and it isn't any better or worse than a regular Buck Vanguard.

From what I read, there is no more real Damascus anymore. It's just for aesthetics now.
