I can't find a car part anywhere on the internet
Posted by Broke on 2/11/15 at 9:03 am02
I'm looking for a wiring harness for a 2004 Nissan Altima door. They apparently don't sell these aftermarket. What the hell am I supposed to do? If they don't sell it I can't buy it?

It seems wiring harnesses for new cars don't really have a huge demand. So usually your only options is to either hope someone offers an aftermarket one(which doesn't seem likely in this case), see if you can get an OEM one from a dealership($$$$) or find one in a salvage yard. Which again will cost $$ because you'd pretty much have to tear the car apart to remove it.

Not sure if you're seeking just that plug and harness in the picture you posted but speaking from my experience as a Toyota parts associate and manager, they aren't made like that and typically aren't available in the aftermarket.
They're usually sold as complete harnesses for each door and typically are an OEM part.
Good luck. Wish I could offer more help.

Look at the website I posted and narrow your search to driver's door around your area. Call places and ask. Don't be lazy and don't try and make it too complicated

I already found one using your site. I just was hoping for something easier and/or cheaper. But thank you for the help. I may end up doing that.

Call them. Ask for a picture and they'll ship it to you. You're not gonna find something cheaper than a junkyard part

did you find your part ??
I spoke with Johnny as he noted the harness could either be from the door side or body side
he found numerous 2004 Altima doors priced around $175 at salvage yards in Eunice, Brusly, Boutte, Amite. Recommended you call the Salvage / parts places and ask for the harness which should be around $50
car-parts.com is where he found the harnesses in LA.

minutes before you were stressed you coudnt find one now it's not easy enough or cheep enough why don't you call your mom have her pack a lunch with cute sandwiches & cut the crusts off the sandwich & pack your favorite doilies to place your plate on while eating. Do you need someone to install the harness too princess?
