LSU just made the NCAA Tournament

Barring any ridiculous breakdown, LSU is in after the country saw that game on ESPN.
If LSU can grow off of that loss and keep that energy and effort from now on, we have a legitimate chance to sneak into the 2nd/3rd rounds of the tournament.
Johnny Jones had us looking clueless in our last two possessions that could have won the game. In neither possession does Mickey or Martin touch the ball. Mind. Blown.
We still need a bit more production from Gray/Patterson/Quarterman, but I'm happy for this team. Played a great game against a team people are claiming are the best in *insert crazy number of years here*.

Played best 36 minutes of the season. Then regress back to poor shooting, turnovers, poor play calling, and questionable time outs all in the final 4 minutes.
But I'm proud of these guys. They hung with a great team.

The Rant never ceases to amaze me. The only people across the country who think LSU sucks now are LSU "fans".
We had a breakdown at the end of the game...comes down to poor coaching. The team is plenty good enough.

So we can pencil in at UT and at Ark as loses..... We have to win every one other than that to finish above 500 in the SEC.
I don't see it happening and 500 in the SEC shouldn't get any team in.

Since we did not "expect" a win going in, we knew already, that LSU needed to finish strong and win at least one in the SEC tournament.
nothing has changed.
The RPI, the BPI and Lunardi's guess will all drop a notch.
and nothing has changed. win out, you are in. two more losses and enjoy the NIT. NIT means LSU gets a home game if people turn out for the next home games. If people do not show up, LSU will go on the road to someplace that will fill the stadium. Seats in the stands is all that matters if you want an NIT home game.
Of course, a lot depends on the other bubble teams. LSU is now on the bubble along with MIch State. Mich State loses to THE Ohio Staet and LSU is still on the bubble. a few other bubble teams win out and LSU has to win two in the SEC tournament. dominos.

LSU's problem is that it plays to the level of its competition, up or down. When you do that you can compete against Kentucky or lose to Missouri. We needed this game badly. The effort was there. The crowd was there. Unfortunately the boneheaded turnovers and inability to score a basket over the last few minutes was also there.

Problem is, losing @MSU and vs. AU within this same 4 game stretch. LSU is 1-3 against teams they should be 3-1 against.
