Went into PTB today for my "last meal" before their move to Tulane. Of course, the place was slammed. I probably won't make it to the new location often, as it's no where near my work or home and they will only be open for lunch.

Anyone else stopping in this week? Their last day is Saturday.

That's because PTB is pretty overrated. Its not the best. Good people though, I like Karl.

Aw, I probably won't get to visit for a nostalgic last meal before they move.

Any idea on the opening date of the new place?

Just got back. Likely will go tomorrow and Friday.

Had to get mine to go. Damn people showing up w/o appointments.

I'll give it another try. I like a little more complexity and spice in my pho. this was just too much like straight up beef stock. A lot of the other dishes I saw looked pretty damn good.

I hate you.

My run there was good while it lasted. Guess I have to find a new place on the WB.

Pho Bang has very similar menu options and pricing point.

No need to brave the Westbank for Pho Bang when they have them on the Eastbank.

I don't like their pho. I enjoy their other plates and wings.

I think their service is lacking too.

But I do enjoy the avocado tapioca drinks.

Yeah, I took it to mean you were just looking for another pho house. I don't like tan dinh just for that either.

The place next to Hong Kong Mart is good too.
