when I was a kid, the pmac (wasn't called that yet) was one of the most feared places to play. With all eyes turned toward BR tonight, it would be one hell of a time to ressurect the Deaf Dome. Vitale remembers the late 80's early 90's and he will be all over it if the team and crowd bring back the old days.

People that believe the LSU can never be a basketball school are very wrong. LSU supports winners, and could have a top 5 atmosphere in 2 years with back-to-back great seasons.

Can we also bring back the deaf dome meter to measure the crowd noise? And the dunking Mike shorts

Considering the ncaa changed the rules because lsu kept beating high seeds i would think it wasnt a favoritr place to come play

For a minute there, I thought I was watching Brady Ball; it was glorious.

His point is that there was a time when early round NCAA tourney games were sometimes played at the arenas of teams in that bracket...most notably 1986. LSU as an 11 tore through the first three games beating #6 Purdue, #3 Memphis St and then #2 Georgia Tech riding a wave of LSU fans in the PMAC.

The PMAC has been a terribly intimidating place in the past...

Deaf dome was alive last night. Been telling my son for a few years one day he'll see why we call it the deaf dome. He was covering his ears it was so loud last night

It was an awesome atmosphere last night. I've been going to games for over 20 years, that has to be in the top 3 atmosphere's i've been to at an LSU basketball game.

All that video did was make me miss FAST basketball!!! Aside from the fact that LSU basketball has essentially been out of any title hunt for a while now, it's HARD to get fans excited about the plodding style of play most teams plays now.

It's like slightly faster soccer...

I'll be the first person to say that I'm now a bandwagoner when it comes to LSU basketball...but that's mostly because I've grown disinterested in basketball in general. It's a shell of its former entertaining self, despite being played in most cases by better athletes. But when I grew up I was as big an LSU basketball fans as I was football fans...maybe more so. It hurts to not be able to find anything interesting in the program right now, even with quality players.

Funny thing...in a day and age where younger people seem to be clamoring for football teams to run high powered offenses and score tons of points, they seem content on watching basketball teams where the shot clock routinely runs down and games end in the 60's.

Bleh...
