don't get the Garfield naysayers. I'm an avid Spiderman fan, and I believe he has been absolutely fantastic for the franchise.

I don't get it either. Especially since he is also a big fan and had the balls to bitch out the studio after they gutted the last one in editing.

Wonder if it'll be another origins movie.

I think they'll more focus on setting up a villain and showing off spider man.

Marvel might be so excited that they finally have Spidey back this might just be the best movie ever. And it doesn't even have a script

Man, I hope to hell you are right.

Spidey needs to have a good presence in Civil War.

1. Sony makes terrible Spidey Movie
2. Sony makes mediocre comedy about killing Kim Jong Un
3. Sony spends a ton of money promoting said movie.
4. Kim Jong Un hacks Sony revealing what incredible douchebags their execs are.
5. Kim Jong Un threatens to bomb movie theaters showing the mediocre comedy.
6. Sony releases said comedy to streaming sites, everyone watches and no one buys it.
7. Sony loses a ton of money on said mediocre comedy.
8. Sony needs a massive PR and financial win, so they let Spidey rejoin the MCU.
9. Fans rejoice, because Marvels biggest property is back in its premier universe.
10. Sony rejoices, because their investors now forgot what idiots they were

So..... unless I'm missing something....

Do we owe Kim Jong Un a thank you?

When I left Marvel, I was on a mission. I was seeking a movie franchise, and I got two. But Sony already knew that feeling. Our Studio had not had that feeling. My goal is still many movies as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing another great franchise back to Marvel.

That's right, Marvel fans. I'm Coming home.

Garfield as Spiderman

Spidey needs a clean slate going forward. May not be all Garfield's fault but the films were horrible.

One scene ruined the movies for me and still drives me nuts. Guess I'm a bit OCD. But in the first one Peter is having dinner with Gwen's family and is using his utensils like they do in Europe (Garfield is British) - knife in one hand with the fork turned around backwards. It continues to bug me.

So, clean slate . . . with no utensil issues.

Ironman: Why weren't you at the Battle of New York, Spidey?

Spider-Man: Well I was standing in front of my girlfriends grave for over a year.

Spidey: Lemme ask YOU a question, where were you when Electro wreaked havoc on Times Square?

Ironman: Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I had to go to the middle of Tennessee to teach a kid to make a potato gun. It was a whole thing.

Movie was actually pretty funny and I bought it. Until Xbox Live took it off for some reason
