What to do? Curry smell in apartment

How do I handle this situation? We just moved into a new apartment yesterday and the place reeks of curry including all of our stuff now.
Low and behold an Indian family lives right next door.
It's so strong we had to stay in a hotel room tonight.
What do we do? Do I have any recourse with the apartment complex?

Not real.
But still oddly funny

I would never be this bothered by the smell of food, and I can't even begin to understand it. It's the smell of spices. Not raw sewerage.
Buy some air freshener. Spray it around the apartment.

Indian families can cook up a storm and I have heard stories about the smells of good Indian cooking bothering neighbors.
I lived in New Jersey for a few years, so, I know that this thread might be legit. There are lots of nice families and folks from India who live in north and central New Jersey.

This may not work. I have heard that the fine smells of good Indian cooking are very, very STRONG.

Rub feces on the walls and enjoy the refreshing scent.

Check your lease agreement. An apartment I rented in Dallas had a specific clause in there about producing obnoxious odors. Curry was specifically mentioned in there.

Kill a cow in front of them.

Open up a few boxes of baking soda.

So how is it you didn't realize this was going to be a problem BEFORE you moved in?

They may be jealous that the fake Indians got to do it and they haven't

Curry smells good. Invite yourself over and eat well.
