“Before the disappearance of my sister-in-law, Bob had a series of Alaskan Malamutes, which is like a husky,” Douglas Durst said. “He had seven of them, and they all died, mysteriously, of different things, within six months of his owning them. All of them named Igor. We don’t know how they died, and what happened to their bodies.

“In retrospect, I now believe he was practicing killing and disposing his wife with those dogs.”

They didn't say anything in the Jinx about him having seven dogs that all died in six months did they? I know that retard took a pic holding one of them at his wedding.

I didn't see anything about killing dogs in the documentary, but that story came from his brother who wasn't involved with the documentary.

Douglas is about as reliable of a source as Robert. Besides, he was given ample opportunities to speak, and he chose otherwise. He through a hissy fit about portrayal of his parents, and made unnecessary personal attacks to Jarecki. Now he wants to present information without anybody to question him. Furthermore, where was he, and where was this information, during all of these concerning incidents that put 35 years.

Basically Douglas seems just a pathological as Robert.

I think bob's description is probably just really accurate...he's a pussy. He seemed to shrink when jarecki approached him like it was some epic confrontation. He could be protecting his father's reputation.

You have some proof that he's lied about anything?

Per the article, Douglas stated the Jarecki's movie distorted the truth. If that's the case, I'd have "chose otherwise" as well.

You know what he did and didn't tell the cops when questioned?

Right because he's an uber successful businessman whereas his brother is a cereal killer.

no.

I just don't understand how someone can come to the conclusion that Douglas is a pathological liar because he wouldn't partake in a documentary about his pshycho brother.

I wouldn't say pathological liar... but he is pathological in some of his behaviours.

I'm basing my opinion on his behaviors surrounding the three murders. He has many of the same characteristics of Robert, and it is not uncommon for a biological sibling raised in the same environment, to share the same characteristics, good and bad. I thought the unnecessary cheap shot about Jarecki' father was unprofessional and inappropriate. The fact that he took the time to write it then send it means it likely can't be attributed to an angry impulse. I find it convenient that he didn't want interviewed to present his thoughts, feelings, and memories, then complains when it is presented his way.

One of the newspaper headlines laid out said something about one of the jurors being Bob's new best friend. I wonder if it was that tard. Probably bought him a bass boat for his vote.

Yes. There are so many similarities to the zodiac case it makes me wonder if it wasn't intentional.

It's not but still

If the cadaver envelope had excessive postage it would've been the full package

I agree, it's not a sign of pre meditation. Especially the fact that he bought the tools after the murder, and the fact that he botched the disposal. And as far as experience, doing something once doesn't mean you have done it before. There is a first time for everything. I think if he had experience cutting up a body he would known better which tools to use or not use.

UH.... he only bought 2 things - a sharp paring knife (to cut the flesh around) and a saw for the bones. Same method used in the civil war for amputations.

The only thing he botched was the fact that the bay had tides...and he didn't have any way of going out farther. Lakes don't have 'em so stuff stays put when you row it to the middle.

I said INTENT

it is 100% a sign of intent

I misspoke using "pre-meditation"
