You nailed it. His brain is SO WIRED for the designed first read throw, and if not there, he tucks and runs. I may have missed it, but I did not see any exceptions.

That is 100% of what we have seen in college also.

How would anyone expect this extremely strong habit to change?

Seriously. How do you change his firm mental mindset/habits?

Not by wearing a green shirt in the spring or fall practices your not.

It has to come from deliberate and explicit NEW APPROACHES by Cam and his team.

How does this come? He has drilled in the wrong thought processes so amazingly over a long period of time, that a very smart re-wiring of his eye/head movement and brain must occur, or he will be the exact same QB for 2015 and 2016 as well.

The game is not going to "slow down" any more for him than it already has.

More play/experience with the same mindset/habits will result in the same things we have seen, and which the defenses can sit back and watch film on and get the extra half-second jump on reading him that makes all the difference at the SEC level.

You know Miles will see good things in him in the spring and spring game and fall camp. You can bet on it, because he will not be truly tested, so he will look good to Miles and Cam just as he did previously.

What are the ways he can get real PRACTICE to change this drilled in pattern to the better, and substantially to the better.

There has to be a way, but what is that way? Whitfield to be hired to help Cam?

Well supposedly we have coaches that are better than his high school coaches and after 2 years in the system.....IT'S SUPPOSED TO CHANGE

True. Great as a HS QB. The same formula not so good against SEC D's. You seem to not see that he goes almost exclusively with the designed pass play for his primary target NO MATTER WHAT, and if this does not work, he runs.

Qb that lacks the arm strength an accuracy to pass. Slow on decision making.

I also noticed that, almost without exception, he makes a quick glance toward the receiver of choice just before the ball is snapped. I don't know if this is still his tendency at LSU, but in the SEC, the DB's will drool over that.

The result will likely be a tightly covered receiver, possibly double covered. Hence no open target, no progression to another receiver, an obvious hesitance in the pocket, resulting in either a sack or an attempt to take off and run to salvage the play.

Surely the coaches are smart enough to pick this up and work with him to fix this!!!?????

They haven't been so far.

Ditto! We recruit spread or option QB's and put them under center in a power I formation. If we are going to run I formation and Pro style offense, recruit those type of players.

the specific words may be differently, but from EVERY SINGLE bit of evidence seen, this is certainly the gist of what Miles tells his OC and QB.
