I don't think you can recruit a QB the same anymore. You have to look for a QB that has NOT BEEN trained by someone creating bad habits. A raw kid maybe that didn't win big in high school but has a lot of the intangibles needed to become good. Honestly Tulane has found some really nice QB's that have developed nicely that would fit us perfectly. They just don't have anyone else on the team to compliment the QB. I think the reason is obvious. The QB's are not superstar athletes so they didn't win big in high school. Therefore they are not highly recruited.

I have no idea what you are trying to say. QBs are not athletic? What is a superstar athlete? Is Tom Brady a superstar athlete? Tony Romo? Ben Roethlesberger?

QB play in HS doesn't translate to college. They're winning because they're athletes. Russel Shepard comes to mind. Number one QB and player in the country.

I agree with what you're trying to say but of course they're still your Jameis Winstons, Ryan Perriloux, Braxton Millers that don't fit this argument.

Exactly. QB's are not athletes. They manage the offense on the field. Winston is a needle in a hay stack.

There are a ton of kids with decent arms and legs. Amongst them, we need to focus on eyes and brains. I don't think Miles agrees.
