Ex San Antonio Mayor to oversee Benson TX assets

You can't make this stuff up. Yes the same mayor that tried to steal the Saints after Katrina was put in charge of Benson's Texas assets by a Texas judge. Phil Hardberger or as Saints fans called him in 2005 Turdberger.

Didn't it come out that Benson only put non-voting or controlling stock in the trust?

IDGAF about Benson's TX assets. I DO GAF about his New Orleans assets and I feel like Benson and his legal team are going to go scorched earth if necessary to keep the Saints & Pelicans away from the Rensons.

It's a temporary move pending a resolution of the Texas civil action, and it's Hardberger and one other guy. And, as I understand it, the order does not affect Benson's sports related enterprises.

I don't necessarily disagree with the decision of a temporary receiver, but, I think the choice of the former SA mayor is very suspicious.
