For being a massive pile of shite.

Batman & Robin gets piled on the most and deservedly so, but Forever was really fricking bad as well.

It's only redeeming quality was Nicole Kidman in her prime

Yeah I watched it recently after not having seen it in at least 10 years and it was really really bad. TLJ and Jim Carrey trying to over act one another. Chris O'Donnell was really bad too.

Did Batman Forever feature a bat credit card?

Did Batman Forever feature a hockey game between the goons and the good guys?

Did Batman Forever feature Robin yelling "kowabunga"?

No, which makes it monumentally better.

The birth of the modern comic book movie.

As a kid I thought it was great.

Same here.

I put it on b/c it kept popping up on Netflix as something I would like and good lord it has aged poorly.

Even looking at it as a campy throwback to the old TV series its not all that good b/c the script, direction, and editing are all just plain bad.

Batman Forever isn't good but when you compare it to Batman and Robin it looks like The Dark Knight.

Spider-Man was the birth of the modern comic movie.

Fun fact: TLJ and Jim Carrey absolutely despised each other during the making of the movie.

Blame Joel Schumacher. Kilmer deserved a better shot.

I did too. I still do.

Nolan's trilogy as a whole was better. Batman Begins and TDK are head and shoulders better than Forever. That said:

TLJ was a better two face than Aaron Eckert And Jim Carey was a better villain than Nolan's abortion of Bane turned out to be.

Kidman in her prime is at least equal to Katie Holmes and a billion times better than Maggie Bulldogface

Kilmer was a great batman, and we had a Robin that could've actually turned into a Nightwing.

Yeah, its not a bad movie when viewed as a stand alone. Good popcorn flick.

But Batman and Robin absolutely ruined it. It took everything from Batman Forever and made it 100x worse.

Bane was a muscle puppet with no thought of his own. A simple pawn.

The reveal wasn't as horrendously mortifying as this:

But it was easily the second worse reveal in comic book movies and that whole movie just sucked.

They couldn't have cast The Riddler and Two-Face worse than they did. I don't think Val Kilmer was a bad Batman but the story and supporting cast were shite.
