Was there any contact with UAB players, especially LB's?

I remember a thread about this when the program was whacked. Were there any decent candidates?

UAB had one really good LB that Georgia picked up. Don't think LSU had any contact with him. South Alabama took both of UAB's QBs so that probably speaks to the fact that they weren't SEC quality. No other players of theirs we would really need.

Essentially what he said ^

The also had an OT go to Oklahoma State, and a couple go to Indiana, but the rest of the players were Sun Belt or AAC level players

Check out this guy. Good size. As of Feb 3, don't think he has a team. Look at this high school stats.

I mean, why not? Somebody who knows somebody should send it in.

He wound up at UAB for a reason. If he was SEC quality he'd be at an SEC school

So how does Khalil Mack get a first round grade at buffalo if he probably "went to buffalo for a reason"

The exception, not the rule. In these discussions you have to always work with probabilities considering no one actually knows anything about how any of these players are going to turn out. All you can do is project where their ability could take them, but it is up to them to see that it actually gets there.

Yet there are plenty of "SEC quality players" that should not be in the SEC. This line of thought is retarded. I bet if you gave a kid like this a shot, you would get 10x more out of him then most of these high ranked recruits that come in and never do anything.
