More than ever, these two guys need to step up. To me, being a high caliber DLineman (DT or DE) is as much about attitude as the physical skills. Coach O needs to stay on these guys' butts like a drill sergeant and turn them into players.

We will be fine if he doesn't. CL and DG back, QT finally healthy, T LMAO and Valentine finally able to play. IF he does finally get them playing well, along with Bain, DLU is going to come back with a vengeance. Hope to see Herron move back outside and play the Spears/Hill DE role for us.

Considering some inside reports from practice O needs to light a fire under the entire team

ruh roh. anonymous inside reports rear their ugly head again. no proof, no viable substance, no expamples, etc.

what's your game, sir?

Every DT LSU has was highly regarded and highly recruited. To be honest if the same guys (Chavis & Haley) who gave us DJ Welter over Beckwith made the decisions for starting DLs then I have to wonder about their decision making capability.

But Chavis said last year's LBs were the best he ever coached the last 2 seasons. Then proceeded started Welter.

With the exception of Ole Miss and bama LSU looked uninspired last year, and I've never seen LSU lay down like they did against State and Auburn.

Hope the new hires help.

I think if Trey L and Valentine can bolster the DT depth, move Herron back to DE, Gilmore might not see the field and I could see transferring

Eaux will do wonders for the Tiger DL.

There a lot of truth there, but proper techniques are absolutely essential.

I hope so too. If he can't get to these guys, then it shows how much of a failure Haley and chavis were at evaluating and recruiting our dline for a few years.
