Suggestions for smoked sausage in sunset / opelousas area.

Not interested in going to VP or Mamou. In Opelousas for work with a coworker who will not drive to Evangeline Parish as he is a nonbeliever.

Rod's supermarket in Church Point where my wife is from is pretty good. I hadn't had any other ones in that area though. While you're there, grab a jar of their BBQ sauce.

LOL No I doubt seriously Meche's ships anything.
And I have not had the boudin at Meches in probably 20 years.
But the Smoked Sausage is Legit, Least it still was a few years ago. It is a Heavy smoked Sausage great for gumbo and beans. Terrible for the grill.
I will say it is not best neighborhood either, Might want to be packing if you go there.
But the original owner was good people.
