Linebacker is going to be a problem. One injury, one transfer, and we are really screwed. After the 2015 season, we will lose:

No. 23 Lamar Louis, Sr
No. 31 D.J. Welter, Sr
No. 22 Ronnie Feist, Sr
No. 45 Deion Jones, Sr
No. 52 Kendal Beckwith, Jr - Probably to NFL

So that leaves us only three LBs on our roster for 2016!!!:

No. 3 Clifton Garrett 6-3, 242
No. 40 Duke Riley 6-1, 218
No. 48 Donnie Alexander 6-1, 201

So true freshmen will have to be ready to play immediately or we must get some JUCO LBs that can play right away. Steele is going to have to earn his money.

This is why this years class was disappointing to me. Steele is a LB coach and he couldn't get anyone to flip. Not a great start, but i understand he had limited time. JUCO LBs..... look for them now!

at least 2 DBs will move to LB

and look for Lewis Neal to play a hybrid DE/LB role

Cut Steele and O some slack. They showed up to the scene late and still got Key and a serious look from Leo Lewis.

Voorhies has been moved to LB...Steele was on the job 1 month before NSD, relax bud...he knows his roster and depth chart better than you.

all on the plate of CHAVIS!- it is beginning to appear that maybe he was planning on leaving all along

But to the chief- remember we are the Tigers and you chose to leave- it will be a long day for 3rd and Chavis this year

DJ is already out of eligibility.

But the OP is correct. Only signing two LB's in two years has us living on the edge come '16.

Would be great if we could RS someone in '15(Feist?).

will probably go after a JUCO kid.

I'm really surprised they didn't press Phillips this year.

Feist did not play in 2013 so I think that was his redshirt year. This also would make him a redshirt-junior this upcoming season.

This is a good point. Hard to learn a new position quickly. But it will add some depth. Just look how long it took KB to start when is seemed obvious to everyone watching.

Feist red shirt year - I hope this is true. Has this been confirmed?

Ronnie feist was redshirted last year so he will be a junior

Beckwith won't go pro unless he has a high draft grade

You have no idea what type of defense we will run therefore you don't know if our freshman/sophomore defensive ends can stand up and play

You obviously haven't heard of the guys we're recruiting in 2016 and 2017 - Joyner, divinity and the big one ... Moses
