Going tonight for food and drinks, with a group, for a birthday...
Menu looks interesting, though I don't have high hopes...
Has anyone been for food and can recommend anything that is a must try?

I liked the drinks, they were good.
I went when they first opened. I remember my wife got a salad and wasn't particularly thrilled. I got their cuban and that was decent. I did like the place though.
I know we got something else as well but I honestly cannot remember what. Sorry.

Really liked the drinks. They had a Cynar based drink on the specials that was excellent.
The food was okay. We ordered a bunch, nothing was bad, but nothing was must order or memorable either.

Havent been but have ben a fan of Beachbum's cocktail books and tiki history/mythology for a few years. If you want to go classic, order the Zombie as he did enough research on that drink to determine the definitive version.
But people I trust in the food and beverage world have raved about it as a bar. Havent heard as much praise for the food. But still should be a fun place for a birthday crew

I didn't try the food on my only trip, but I thought the atmoshere was interesting.
The drinks I tried were not for me. Those fruity drinks just aren't my style so I doubt I'll return.
I know a few folks that really enjoy them and frequent the bar, it just depends what style of drink you like.

Thanks all, since we have a big group, I'm hoping/guessing we just get a bunch of stuff to share...
Last time I had drinks at a Tiki Bar (Thee Dots and a Dash in Chicago)... I was drinking Jet Pilot's.. things got weird that night..

The ribs looked good the last time I was in there.

Drinks were good. Food is meh.
I like the drinks. The scene is sort of goofy, but not necessarily in a bad way.
I've gotten appetizers once: dumplings and shrimps in blankets. I thought both were tasty enough, if a bit pricey for what you got. I don't really get what they are trying to do with the overall menu, though.
