Not to beat a good horse to death, but:

In the past 3 years we have signed only 4 linebackers (not counting Sione who was listed as DE/LB), 1 of whom was converted to fullback (MJ). Is this just a reflection of Chavis's philosophy of smaller, faster LBs or am I missing something?

Let the flaming commence.

The coaches have a plan at LB'er for next year.

They may not tell you what it is.

So try to live with that knowledge.

Now if we could just get a couple more of these LB threads, it'll be the best NSD ever.

We have enough unless large amount of injuries. Possibly a safety or even a smaller DE could be converted, ala, Beckwith. 2016 class loaded. We will be fine.

It's more than just concerning. It is disastrous on an epic scale. LSU will never survive this.
It's all over.
Finished.

Fans complained so much about welter that the coaches just decided to phase them out on our way to a 4-0-7.

Seriously people what % of plays did we even have 3 LBers on the field anyway? Less than 40%?

Looks like LSU went after one and came in second. Clearly the coaches see what we see and will have a plan. Again LSU has some big safeties and small ends that may be converted. As mentioned earlier, LSU plays with two LBs more often than not, we will see how the new staff approaches this especially if they transition to a 3-4.
