Will TD start letting posters embed videos?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I tried searching and didn't find anything.
Is there any particular reason TigerDroppings hasn't started letting posters embed videos in posts instead of just linking it? Is it a server size issue? Web developer issue?
(If this is, as you say, "Germans" just answer the question quickly and this post can get knocked down to the bottom. Thanks.)
