I have a report that has two sections of attachments with 25 or so reports in each, their own word files. I'm worried about format and numbering, but I'd like to combine them to create a pdf out of them. Anyone know how? I researched word master docs, but I don't think my version has it.

I don't have an adobe writer, just a reader.

download a free PDF writer/"printer" like cutepdf
It will install as a printer, so after install click print then choose the pdf writer as your printer and "print"-will ask for save location

This is for a deliverable to a customer...not sure about the final fidelity with those programs.

I know adobe pro allows you to save as a Word Doc, so you could go back once they are combined. Not sure if cutepdf allows that.

Can you just create a new Word Doc, choose Insert > Object > Text From File.
Select all your documents.
Add a common footer and PDF as you normally would?

Download PDF Creator free version, it will install as a printer. Open Word/Excel/PDF and print it, selecting PDF Creator as your printer. A dialog will pop up asking about the save file details, select the Collet-Wait option. Now, you can open and print all other documents to the PDF Creator printer, and it will catch them. When you are finished, select the combine all, then right click the file and print. Now you have one big arse PDF will all you documents.

**Edit**

Holy crap 30? Better yet, just highlight all the damn files you want to print, right click and select "Create PDF Files and Bitmap from PDF Creator." Then select the Wait collect. You can then rearrange them in whatever order before combining, and finally printing. If memory serves me well, I would set PDF Creator as the default printer before this though, b/c it will bug the piss out of you if you don't.
