It's coming up on his 10 day deal so I'll bring this up.

Wolters has only played 11 minutes the past 3 games and there's this:

I highly doubt dell keeps him around for the rest of season(can't give him any more 10 days). These past few games are also telling.

Who will dell go after? He has the mem 2nd rounder and an expiring(salmons).

Sign Farmar off the street for the rest of the season and keep the pick/expiring in your pocket in case someone goes down.

Agreed. When Holiday comes back, there won't be many minutes available for backup PG. Why waste an asset there?

Reke obviously can handle the PG spot. EG can run the show when Reke needs a rest. I guess Wolters is better running the offense than Jimmer but I don't really think it's that big of a need.

Is Farmer a FA? Who is Nate Robinson playing for now?

Tyreke willing to facilitate changes the dynamic completely. when holiday comes back one of jrue, Tyreke or Gordon should always be on the floor

jimmer can go back to playing off the ball...jimmer at the point makes me sad

Hopefully we'll finally see that. Cunningham and Pondexter changed things for Monty. Right before Jrue got hurt Tyreke volunteered to come off the bench because Monty finally felt comfortable enough with the SF position to not need Tyreke there.

Farmar is a free agent and Robinson plays for the Celts.

I wouldn't mind giving Farmar a chance.

I thought they bought him out and he's a FA too?

"jimmer at the point makes me sad"

I have come around on Fredette and hope we keep him. But I very much agree with this. Running the point is difficult for him AND takes away from what he does well. I know they don't do the same thing, but if it's between Fredette and Wolters for the roster spot, I take Fredette. Like another poster said, we have plenty of guys who can run the point.

no question that fredette is a net positive over wolters...wolters is terrible. fredette is not going anywhere (except maybe to the bench).

he is however a disaster waiting to happen on defense, and cannot threaten an opposing defense from the point. put him off ball at the elbow or corner though and he can contribute

I think that was the rumor, but I don't know if they ever went through with it:

ETA: looks like they did complete the buyout

That's what I thought. I'd like him getting a couple of minutes or so a game off the bench

Jimmer has the tools. He needs the trust of the coaching staff to maximize them. You can tell he is thinking way too much out there.

I'd be ok with bringing in a veteran like Farmar, but I'm not very big on bringing in Robinson. The risk that he'd mess up chemistry vs. the reward of what he could possibly bring is not worth it.

Well as expected the Pelicans are done with Wolters:
@ShamsCharania: New Orleans Pelicans are parting with guard Nate Wolters after the expiration of his second 10-day contract, league source tells RealGM.

To be fair to Wolters, it has to be difficult to learn a team's offense in 20 days, especially as a 2nd year play who is still learning how to be a Pro. I wouldn't mind if we gave him another shot in the offseason, but for the rest of this season, we should probably turn to a vet, or stick with what we have. Without giving up assets, Farmar or Robinson should be sufficient. When Jrue, Tyreke, and Gordon are all healthy, that position would barely be needed.

Just skimmed the free agent list. Following guys were the only PG's listed that seemed somewhat interesting.

Jordan Farmer
Toney Douglas
Eric Maynor
