I know he is committed to FSU now. Thought he was resigning with us out of JC. With our needs at LB, what happened in his recruitment????

Nothing is ever guaranteed with that method, but it has worked a few times for various schools. LSU did get Jeremy Cutrer back.
I am wondering how things are going with CeCe tonight, not to change the subject, but this is a big deal since A. Key and L. Lewis could become Tigers in days.

Phillips was a heavy lean to LSU. Just wondering if he commitment to FSU because of Chavis' departure!!!!!!

He wasn't a take for us. Bama was gonna take him at one point. Think he failed to make the deadline for early entry and that limited his options.
Him coming back here wouldn't have changed anything for us depth wise. He's only got 2 years. Sure he could've helped for 16 but JM not sure he could beat Riley, Garrett or Alexander out anyway. Just not really a great reason to take him. That said our LB recruiting this year has been a disaster aside from this late push with Lewis so who knows what the plans really were.

I think there is a better chance he sees the field at FSU then LSU when considering the LBs on both teams.

I know the reason he went to JC was because of eligibility, but at the same time, I never got the impression he who would be back at LSU.
I think right now, he would be a great fit with LSU moving to a mixed 4-3/3-4 scheme.
As far as DB's, I am guessing we will still run the Mustang package or some version of it, 4-2-5/3-3-5.

He was getting a TWIC card today in Morgan City wearing an Alabama hoodie. He told the lady worker whose daughter(Knight) plays basketball at Alabama that he left LSU for a Juco and was committed to FSU. His Dad and lil brother both had on FSU hats.
