What job does the OT not hate and doesn't mind if they make more than minimum wage? It seems like this board thinks everyone is overpaid and rejoices in their plight.

If you strike, don't come back. Only way to ever play it.

United steel workers labor union is a huge nation wide labor union whose umbrella covers hourly workers at 2/3 of the nations refineries. Their contract expires at midnight tonight and they are demanding pretty outrageous benefit/pay upgrades for their employees on the new contract. The 2 sides are very far apart and if no agreement is reached by midnight, workers will be forced to strike/be locked out of their facilities until an agreement is reached.

Is there a better display of the reason China now produces half the world's steel?
The unions used to have a purpose, when workers were losing limbs and working ridiculous hours. Then they got everything they wanted. Now they rabble rabble every year simply to justify their existence to the suckers paying union dues.
Miserable, greedy losers.

Yet they post all day on the OT and claim to get paid 6 figures.

I seriously doubt they are holding out for their full demands to be reached.

Question is, would you commit today to not getting a pay raise for the next 3 years? There is no renegotiating.

Yeah, basically align all the refineries. I would figure that benefits each side.

Heard there are some sites walking out.
