Is this how they are going to justify a rise in gas prices? I love back room politics.

We're experiencing a perfect storm of events: Crude oil prices keep falling and are expected to briefly rise and then fall again; gasoline prices are low; there is more competition for oil products, such as diesel, from new refineries coming online from Saudi Arabia, Russia and China," according to a recent update to union members from Gary Beevers, international vice president and chair of national oil bargaining.

Sounds like the union is fricked

I'm about to have to go in at 9 since I'm salary and won't get to leave until an agreement is reached. I could go for a strike though. We gonna get paid if that happens.

Is the argument that you can't raise a family without:

quote:

6% Annual raise
$7500 signing bonus
90/10 insurance
Triple time

?

I'm genuinely interested in the arguments on both sides...

Low oil prices are not good for Louisiana. smh at those celebrating it. Sasol just delayed progress on their GTL plant by Lake Chuck because of them. Bunch of potential jobs there not coming to fruition.
