When you all stream, what is the quality like on a 1080p TV? similar to watching a DVD or 720p content? I don't have one, just curious.

Impossible to answer because it depends on your source. Chromecast can certainly handle local 1080p videos.

I love my Chromecast. The only thing it's missing for me is Amazon Instant.
I can stream just about anything from my phone (Chrome browser). That means I can stream movies, cartoons, shows, anime, whatever... all from my phone's browser. I stream Netflix and Youtube a lot, but I stream from the browser even more.
Plus, it's cheap.

Streaming from firstrowsports is terrible regardless because of all of the ads.
I haven't tried streaming those over the chromecast, but I don't see why it'd be any worse than streaming other things over Chrome
