After cutting out the back straps deacon decided he was happy with 50 plus pounds of meat and we slept in this am. Never did get a tractor out there and with the rain today I don't see it happening. Gonna have to go with estimates on this monster hogzilla jr. I don't think he was in the 700 lb arena but he was a big old monster.

Had a great time again hosting an OB member and enjoyed every minute of his company. I did keep my socks on lock down and have already checked the tank of the quest bed room. It seems he was a good guest. Lol

One of the most generous people on this board. Glad he got one, to help thin out the herd.

Well thankfully they extended the season in AL. Broke the state into two zones, North and South. South zone's season was extended to Feb 10th, giving hunters a chance for our later rut. They did close the season for 10 days In December so the it's the same amount of days. I will be making the last weekend for one last chance at a few shooters.

Hope yall took better pics than just that one. I do believe I would of had to skip getting the meat to be able to get a weight.

We got a few more pics but I am having difficulties with imgur. Hopefully, I can get it all straightened out and will post some more in the am. I'm gonna try and go get the head if there is anything left to it tomorrow.

Boar. Nuts were as big as my fists. Cutters weren't that impressive. See that in older hogs sometimes though. They get worn down.

Ok for all of those asking here are some more pics of this beast. TigerDeacon and I just couldn't resist the urge to make fun of all the BS big pig stories. All pics were taken woth my cellphone, in the light of the polaris headlights and/or LEDs and no photoshopping was used.

Although we did not get an actual weight, (my scale is broken and has been for 2 years) the estimated weight was about 130 maybe 140. I base that on years of killing and weighing hundreds of hogs. We did cut out the backstrap, hams, and shoulders which came up to about 55 to 60 lbs of meat with bones still in the quateres.

The hog does look bigger than 130 but that is due to the near pure Russian traits. Hair was 3 to 4" long and spiked on back making it look larger. Cutters were about 2 ". This was probably a 2 or 3 yr old boar.

TD is 25 to 30 yards behind boar and slightly down hill here.

TD is 4 ft behind hog and slightly up hill here. (Color difference is due to lack of LED lights in this pic and hog had rubbed in mud on its left side)

TD is touching the back of the hog here and slightly uphill

A few more:

16" bag by hogs head. And 24" cleaning glove.

I understand that. That was kind of the point of the rouse. I promise you it is in fact the same hog. I will see if I can go get pics of the carcass this evening. And maybe TD can send pics of the single cooler of meat he has.

N.B. I was very careful with my wording in this thread. The only lies told were as follows

HUGE HOG DOWN!
I have never seen one quite this big.
I think it may be a local record.
Not sure how to get it loaded up to get it weighed.
...trying to arrange for a tractor to hoist it up.
...but he was a big old monster.

The rest was all true.

I believe you....I wasnt saying it wasnt the same hog...just that it didnt look like it.

The first pic it looks like a 350 lb hog.....the rest it looks like a 100lb hog
