I really like the one at Maxwell's.

My father told me tonight he had the cuban at city pork earlier this week and was different than it has been. He used to really like it but said he wasn't sure about it now.

I had this same experience last Saturday night. I think they used shredded pork that was sauced vs. sliced pork.

I prefer the latter as the former was a bit messy and weird. CP's cubano used to be my favorite but I hold hope that they just were slammed and had a misfire.

Fingers crossed this isn't something they have switched to. Haven't had one in a couple of months, but always a huge favorite of mine.

I agree, the Cubano I had from City Pork was way too dry...TERRIBLE.

No one in BR makes anything that resembles a real Cuban sandwich. City pork's is just a pulled pork with ham. Plus it's smoked pork. Maxwells is just a sandwich. Not even pressed properly. Closes thing I've ever tasted to a Cuban was that food truck that no longer exists

I've yet to find a good cubano in BR... The one at CP is not good (jefferson location at least)

Maxwells is the best hands down, but its true its not a completely authentic approach as the mustard is different and its not pressed

jason's deli unfortunately is probably the best.

Logan Farms on sherwood has a good one, but that's closer to the maxwell's version.

I haven't tried the one at rum house yet

I made my first trip to City Pork last Monday for lunch. I had the Cuban and the meat was dry as a bone.

Will give it one more shot but it was probably a 5/10 at best.

Go to the Honey Baked Ham place in Sherwood Forest, it's a very good (unique) Cuban over there.
