Why is the music so terrible every year for the Super Bowl?

I'm convinced it's a conspiracy when the "artist" is picked for the Super Bowl. Either that or the NFL directors just have a horrible ear for good music.
Why not get someone up there with actual talent? Someone that deserves the spotlight? Does Katy Perry really need more freaking press?! She cant sing and makes music for preteens and Moms who think they are hip because they listen to her.

It's usually pop crap for the halftime show - it was that way all the way up until the boob exposure, then they went to the classic rock acts for a while. After The Who showed the world how boring geriatric rock acts are, they reverted back to the pop acts to entertain the moms and man-girls that are trying to hard to be cool in their 30's and 40's.

Only because all of the Media corporations conspired to make her popular. When you keep shoving material down the masses throat over and over, eventually some sheep will like it. There's nothing remarkable or unique about her at all. Why she was "chosen" to be popular, I'll never know.
