He's a heck of a "football player" - several problems:

A. He is on the smallish side, even for a corner or slot receiver. I think he'll get bigger, but nothing is guaranteed with the smaller guys.

B. He doesn't fit cleanly anywhere - if he had better hands, he'd be a WR without any question. If he were taller, with the way he moves, he would be a CB without any question. If he threw the ball a little better, he would be a dual threat QB without any question.

So, he's a smallish, tweener athlete. He works hard, runs fast and moves well with the ball in his hands. Potential return man or slot reciever at LSU - IMHO. Not an insignificant chance he plays CB, if that turns into a position of need (and we are not very deep at CB right now...).

...hmmmm ... OK , I can see him as a "take" to "fill out" a class, but if what u say relatively accurate , why all the exuberant buzz ? 'Course TM7 came out of nowhere , so trust the coaches thing here i guess

I think the offense is changing a bit for next year. I see us staying in a pro set but doing more spread and read option offense type plays.

If he adds a little weight he could be a Magee type RB who spent time working with the WRs. Otherwise he'd make a great nickel.

I've never seen him in person, but from his highlights he kind of reminded me of Eric Metcalf.

I think he would be a good player for us. Would make a nice return man and slot receiver.

Magee came in under 200. He bulked up considerably in his time here.

I would rather Charlot over Dillion.

Charlot would just be another body here. He provides nothing different to our wr corps. Dillon's suddenness is a skill we lack anywhere on offense. I'll grant you that Charlot is more polished and the better pure wr at this point but he has no skill that sets him apart. Dillon does. Dillon did well this summer and at all star practices at wr. He should be able to transition well. Can he beat out the kids we have on campus and coming in? Not sure but his quicks and suddenness in space can be used situationally at worst. He's lightning in a bottle that is a threat any time he touches the ball. Basically what everyone hoped and thought Russell Shepard would eventually be. Let's hope Dillon lives up to it a little better

I'm not gonna hope that he lives up to that yet..he's still a Gator.

Agree with the post though. It's amazing how similar Charlot and Dillon are, even the same number.

Damn good analysis man. Dillon's definitely a take and not just to "fill out" the class as someone else suggested. If he isn't a tiger he'll be a play maker somewhere else.

Not a gator but someone close to him is very concerned with playing time here. I made the comment to them that they would get to see him easier and they said hopefully not on the bench.

People here acting like Dillon is a fill in recruit. He isn't.
He's a take all day long. Period.

That would depend on Mr. Dillon.
TM7 looked like an ordinary recruit, he left it all out on the field.
Recruits have only themselves to blame for riding the bench.

You go out on that field and ball and you will be playing on Saturdays and maybe Sunday's...
