I need some advice on where to get a new suit, looking for a 2-piece for around $500 - $750. I don't know too much about suits, so anything would be helpful right now.

Just kidding, check out Men's Warehouse. Not the best quality suits but they will be with in your price range.

The cheaper the better. I don't really know a price range for suits, so I tossed out numbers that I would be willing to spend.

Go to a good Dillards or Macys, or any Nordstrom, and look around for suits in about the 500 range. For that you can get some decent brands, including some HSM gold trumpeter stuff from Dillards.
If you catch a sale you might be able to get 2 for 600 or so, but either way, save some money for a really good tailor (read: not your dry cleaner).
If you look around a good bit or go to a website like Sierra Trading you can sometimes find Jack Victor and Hickey suits for 500-700. Probably not the way to go unless you're pretty familiar with suiting, but it's a decent option.

No offense, but if you don't know too much about suits, you are not ready/don't need to spend $500 on a suit. You can get a really nice suit for half that.
Unlike most of the folks on this board, I have never been a fan of Joe Bank. Their suits look okay in the store, but my experience is they lose their shape when you clean them.
I'd stick with Dillard's or Macy's if I were you. Salesmen there can be very helpful. Don't be afraid to haggle for a deal.

Wait til Joseph A Bank has one of those buy 1 get 2(or 3) free sales and go get one of their better suits and get 2 or 3 of the same price. If you're gonna spend 500, might as well spend 1k and get 3 for 350-400 a piece.

That is their business model........when are they NOT running one of these sales? Joe Bank is a bunch of shysters.

You can get a suit in the 300 range from Jos A Bank, Dillards, Macy's, etc.. There is higher quality selection in the 500-750 range. I was interested in a suit recently and went to Brooks Brothers. There suits are typically around 1200, but they had something where they will take you measurements and there are swatches of materials you can choose from. Takes a few weeks, but the suit was substantially less. Limited selection of materials though. But it is a high quality suit (not their outlet version). Only reason I didn't pull the trigger was that I wanted the suit for the weekend. Nordstrom's cheapest suit was $700, but they had a much better selection than a Jos A Bank or Macy's type store.
